What you can do

Use it forever

The licence is perpetual. Once downloaded, the data can be stored on your own servers and used with no expiry.

Worldwide and royalty-free

Access, copy and use the data anywhere, with no royalties on what you build from it.

Build models and derivative works

Incorporate the data into your own models. Charts, visualisations, research and other outputs built from it can be distributed publicly, as long as the raw data isn't redistributed.

Publish research

Published research and academic papers are permitted. Credit FirstRate Data as the source of the raw data, with a link to firstratedata.com when publishing online.

Your team and providers

Affiliates, consultants and service providers such as cloud hosts can use and host the data on your behalf. Multi-user licences allow sharing within your institution.

Show small excerpts

Small excerpts of the data can be shared externally to give context or demonstrate your analysis.

What you can't do

  • Resell or redistribute the raw data to third parties as part of a commercial agreement.
  • Make the data available outside your organisation. It's for your private use, and multi-user sharing stays within your institution.
  • Share your account details with anyone else.
