Social Sentiment Data - Reddit

Our social sentiment indicator scans Reddit's most popular stock discussion subReddits (such as WallStBets, r/Stocks, r/Options etc) and ranks the top stocks by their Reddit activity. As crypto is a popular trading discussion the most active crypto tickers are also tracked.

Sentiment : evaluates the sentiment of each comment regarding a stock on a scale of -1 (extremely bearish) to +1 (extremely bullish). The individual sentiment scores for each comment are then aggregated into an average sentiment score over the last 24 hours.
This is also compared to the score from 1 hour prior and 24 hours prior to get the percentage changes.

Activity : is a measure of the amount and intensity of the conversations regarding the ticker. This is a more insightful measure than just the raw count of the ticker/stock mentions as it takes into account the number of likes the comment receives, as well as the number and tone of the replies to the comment, and the reputation of the author.
The activity is totaled over the past 24 hours to report a total score for this metric. As with sentiment, the percentage changes to the activity in the past hour and past 24 hours are also reported.
